Insight Global is seeking a Talent Acquisition Assistant to join a leader in privately managed public facilities based in Long Beach. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the Human Resources operations and fostering a culture of belonging within our organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compliance and Reporting: Adhere to Human Resources policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations related to HR functions. Maintain compliance with state and local employment regulations.
  • Union Relations: Ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for each union organization at the location. Build and maintain positive relationships with union representatives and organizations.
  • HR Systems Management: Ensure accuracy of data in ABI Mastermind, ADP, and Workday systems.
  • Job Descriptions and Organizational Chart: Assist in creating and updating job descriptions and organizational charts.
  • Recruitment Activities: Support recruitment efforts by writing and placing advertisements, recruiting, interviewing, testing, and selecting candidates for vacant positions.
  • Onboarding: Plan and conduct new employee orientations to integrate new hires into the organization effectively.
  • Records and Documentation: Maintain records for benefits plans, personnel transactions (hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations), and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Employee Recognition: Support the organization and delivery of employee recognition events and programs.
  • Training and Development: Aid in supporting training programs and managing the Litmos system.
  • Union Compliance: Partner closely to ensure that union schedules are compliant with agreements.
  • Policy and Program Inquiries: Respond to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Benefits Administration: Administer benefits programs including life, health, dental, disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance programs.
  • Separation Documentation: Prepare employee separation notices, conduct exit interviews, and document reasons for separations.
  • Additional Duties: May require working irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to regular business hours.


$20/hr to $28/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
