We are searching for an experienced Interior Designer to join our team in our Columbus, Georgia office.


Description

The ideal designer should be collaborative and able to work effectively as part of a team. They should be skilled at contributing to or executing interior design themes by selecting appropriate finishes and products from the company's library or design resources. Key responsibilities will include specifying finishes, furniture, lighting, and appliances to meet project needs. The designer will also assist with creating client presentations and producing construction documents, such as interior elevations, details, reflected ceiling plans, furniture plans, millwork details, and more. Additionally, they will help maintain an up-to-date finish library.


Responsibilities

·        Comprehensive design and production of drawings for all project phases, from initial programming through construction documents and administration

·        Conduct field measurements and document existing conditions

·        Specify appropriate materials and equipment.

·        Coordinate effectively with project teams, consultants, vendors, and strategic partners to ensure successful project delivery

·        Attend and facilitate client meetings

·        Prepare compelling design presentation materials

·        Develop detailed interior architectural plans, including finishes, reflected ceilings, elevations, and specifications.

·        Manage the interior product library, ordering material samples as needed

·        Meet with product representatives and attend in-house and external seminars to stay current on trends and options


Requirements 

·        A bachelor's degree in interior design from a CIDA-accredited school

·        2-5 years of relevant professional interior design experience

·        A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across various project phases, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and present design concepts

·        A solid understanding of budgets, financial accountability, and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently despite competing priorities

·        Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials

·        Exceptional customer service skills and the flexibility to manage multiple projects at different stages of development

·        Excellent time management, organization, written and verbal communication abilities, with a keen attention to detail and cultural awareness

·        Proficient graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas based on client requirements and project constraints

·        Additional relevant certifications such as LEED, Green Globes, or sustainability credentials are a plus

·        Knowledge of applicable building codes and accessibility requirements

·        Overnight travel as needed to project sites conferences and trade shows


Technology Experience

·        Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, InDesign Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam PDF Revu

·        Procore, Fieldwide
