You will be responsible for creating and developing design concepts, and drawings. You will collaborate with other team members to ensure the quality and feasibility of the design. Responsibilities:

Leads/Clients

  • Provide the best customer service possible to keep a positive experience for the client, so they refer us to their friends and family and/or use us for future projects.
  • Provide them with a design that is better than they ever imagined. Create a one-of-a-kind design customized to their needs & wishes, but most importantly to stay within their budget expectations.
  • Present drawings to Designers to allow Designers to take architectural drawings and complete the Interior Design of a project.
  • Review and revise design documents and drawings according to feedback and changes.
  • Maintain positive communication with the Development team throughout the project via personal collaboration and electronic follow-ups.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Research and apply best practices, trends, and innovations in residential design and construction techniques.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the design process and quality.

Administrative

  • Keep staff updated regarding new products and ideas being asked about by vendors/clients.
  • Assist with trade shows, open houses, and industry events. IE: meetings with BIA, NARI, etc.
  • Attend continuing education seminars, and product knowledge groups, keep updated on current pricing, new product introduction, and industry trends.
  • Assist in generating leads to fuel the pipeline and assist in keeping the pipeline updated.
Requirements:

  • 10 years experience in residential architecture in the Design-Build industry
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field a plus
  • Ability to draw and design additions, whole house remodels, and new builds
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience in Chief Architect a plus
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent communicator
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work on multiple projects at once will be required
  • People person that comes off well in person & unplanned
  • Familiarity with building with wood framing construction
