PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Construction Administrator on a Direct Hire basis for our client in Phoenix AZ.


Summary


This individual will play a key role in maintaining the firm's reputation for delivering exceptional client service and superior construction quality. A primary responsibility will be ensuring that projects meet schedule and budget requirements, while preserving the original design vision. This position, which emphasizes construction oversight and quality assurance, involves managing construction processes, verifying compliance with contract specifications, and protecting the design's integrity throughout the project’s lifecycle.


Responsibilities

  • Construction Administration: Oversee the construction process to verify that contractors adhere to specifications, drawings, and approved documents. Address and resolve any discrepancies between design documents and field conditions.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction quality, ensuring that materials, workmanship, and processes comply with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate the review and approval of submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders, ensuring consistency with design intent and project specifications.
  • Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with design architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure that construction activities align with design intent and project documentation.
  • Engage in direct communication with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues that arise during construction. Maintain a professional and responsive approach to ensure client satisfaction and resolve construction challenges promptly.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of construction activities, observations, and any deviations from the contract documents. Prepare reports summarizing site visits, project progress, and quality assurance actions taken.
  • Collaborate with the specifications team to ensure that all aspects of the construction process adhere to the project's specifications. Make recommendations for adjustments if necessary.
  • Proactively identify potential issues during construction and offer viable solutions to keep the project on track.


Required Skills

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in construction administration, architecture, or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing construction processes and quality control.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction administration processes and the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • In-depth understanding of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to construction projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively liaise with project teams, contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Experience with construction management software and tools, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and change order management.
