Position Summary:


The successful candidate will work on a small, highly collaborative team that acquires and manages BAH’s hospitality assets. With an exceptional level of poise and maturity, the Associate Director is responsible for executing strategic asset management plans across multiple properties. The Associate Director will possess first-class communications skills and is expected to regularly interact with ownership, management companies, and staff. Over the life cycle and hold period of each investment, the Associate Director will work proactively with all stakeholders to ensure that each asset meets strategic objectives, key business plan elements, capital improvement deadlines and overall investor goals.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage relationships with 3rd party hotel property management companies, monitor performance and ensure KPI targets are achieved annually.
  • Review and implement management companies’ annual business plans, capital plan, budgets and communicate ownership’s asset management strategies.
  • Collaborate with the management companies on revenue management and preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Facilitate and maintain consistent and open communications between ownership, property management, finance and other key stakeholders.
  • Assist and coordinate the preparation, presentation, and review of quarterly reporting to investors, lenders, and owners.
  • Assist in data collection and tracking key metrics.
  • Contribute to asset valuations, dispositions, acquisitions, due diligence and development activities as required.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, tenants, brokers, appraisers, attorneys, lenders and industry peers on an as needed basis.
  • Facilitate loan draws and disbursements with lenders, title companies and internal resources.
  • Accompany Asset Managers on property visits and market tours when requested.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with fellow employees, clients, partners, brokers and vendors.
  • Regularly review operating statements and guest satisfaction scores; track and asses property performance against baseline forecasts.
  • Support underwriting and deal sourcing as appropriate.


Qualifications:

 

  • 4-5 years of hospitality experience preferred.
  • BA or BS degree from an accredited institution, with preferred degrees in hospitality, real estate, finance, business, accounting, economics, or related area. Advance degree preferred.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong writing skills as well as verbal interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Skillset and ability to run an assignment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to function both independently, and in a team-oriented setting.
  • Intrinsically motivated, accountable, and entrepreneurial.
  • Proven analytical skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel frequently is expected.
