LEGAL ASSISTANT - LITIGATION

LOCATION: JACKSONVILLE

COMPREHENSIVE COMP AND SALARY PKG

FULL TIME - ON SITE

37.5 hour work week


DUTIES

  • Candidates must have at least 5+ years' experience working in a law firm as a Litigation legal assistant.
  • Working on sophisticated litigation cases in a mid - large law firm is preferred.
  • Strong technical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. This position requires keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight time constraints.
  • Responsible for case management of active files, including reviewing documents for accuracy, scheduling and docketing requests, compiling documents for preparation of analyses, and electronic files.
  • Physical attendance and punctuality at the place of work.
  • Performs additional duties as instructed and assigned.
  • Knowledge of court filing and scheduling procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and business English.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize workload, and be flexible to changing priorities.
  • Team Player, excellent communicator and computer skills.
  • Ability to type at 70 words per minute.
  • Excellent administrative and office skills including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and drafting of business and legal documents.
  • Ability to organize time efficiently among a variety of duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Min 5+ years as a Litigation Legal Assistant
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Federal and State court electronic filing, knowledge of IManage/FileSite, a plus.
  • Hours are 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, with the flexibility to work extra hours as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
