Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements the IT project management strategy aligned with the company's business goals. Identifies and prioritizes key IT projects that support business objectives and drive innovation.
  • Oversees the entire IT project portfolio, ensuring projects are prioritized, resourced, and executed effectively. Monitors and reports on project portfolio performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Leads, mentors, and develops a team of IT project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure project success. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance within the team.
  • Ensures that all IT projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Implements and enforces project management methodologies, standards, and best practices. Monitors project progress, identifies and resolves issues, and ensures successful project delivery
  • Collaborates with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure IT projects meet business requirements. Communicates project status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders
  • Allocates resources effectively across projects, ensuring optimal use of skills and capabilities. Manages project budgets, ensuring financial discipline and accountability
  • Identifies, assesses, and mitigates project risks, ensuring minimal impact on project delivery. Develops and implements risk management plans and contingency strategies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred

Experience

  • Mortgage Banking tenure (10+ years) working expertise with Retail, Correspondent and Servicing technologies
  • Minimum of 10 years comparable work experience required
  • Proven experience in IT project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects

Functional/Technical Skills

  • Strong Management skills in training, motivating, directing, and monitoring staff performance
  • Excellent understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and best practices
  • Performs functions by applying analytical skills, exercising problem-solving skills, and exercising good judgment
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with external and internal clients across departments and locations.
  • Possesses necessary expertise to accomplish all tasks
  • Clearly communicates information of a complex nature in writing or verbally
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities independently and on own initiative in a timely manner
