SBA Relationship Manager

We are seeking a driven and experienced individual to fill the role of SBA Relationship Manager/Marketing Officer. This position is pivotal in generating new SBA 7(a) loans within a designated market. The successful candidate will engage with clients to understand their financial requirements and recommend appropriate banking solutions to address their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, target, and secure new SBA 7(a) loan opportunities.
- Contribute to the overall profitability of the institution by supporting income generation and participating in departmental marketing initiatives.
- Gather comprehensive financial documentation from clients and prepare submission packages for credit analysis.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of SBA loan products and stay updated on industry trends.
- Proactively establish and leverage profitable relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) and other banking professionals to consistently generate funded credit referrals.
- Formulate strategies to originate SBA 7(a) loans effectively in the market.
- Cultivate a referral network with commercial real estate brokers, business brokers, professional associations, accountants, lawyers, etc., to identify potential SBA 7(a) opportunities.
- Develop and nurture an industry network and customer pipeline specifically for the Bank’s SBA lending division.
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in SBA lending.
- Proficient marketing skills for generating new SBA 7(a) loans.
- Strong organizational abilities with a capacity to maintain detailed records of leads, loans, and call reports.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of productivity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional presentation abilities.
