Wyoming Presbyterian Church (USA) in Millburn, New Jersey is looking to hire a skilled part-time bookkeeper (approximately 20 hours per week) to maintain the Church’s financial records, including recording donations and tuition, paying bills, processing payroll, balancing the checkbook, and running financial reports for the church governing board.


We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a quiet office environment in a suburban setting and has a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles as well as a proficiency with Excel. The candidate should be comfortable collaborating with volunteers (Finance and Stewardship Committees) and the Pastor. A BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred, but experience in bookkeeping will be considered.


This position would be great for someone who is comfortable working both in the office and from home on a flexible basis, in consultation with the Pastor. Some set weekly office hours are necessary, but most of the work can be completed remotely. The successful candidate does not need to be affiliated with any community of faith.
