Job Summary:

Working in a growing private psychiatric practice in Irvine, the Medical Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the practice, including greeting patients, directing patient flow, managing communications, and fielding calls. A key function of the position includes being the face of the practice. The ideal candidate for the position is a professional, goal-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and the desire to advance the practice and their role.  


Qualifications: 

·      Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred

·      5+ years of work experience

·      2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting

·      TMS experience a plus but not required

·      Proficient with Microsoft 365

·      Experience with scheduling and EHR software

·      Experience and familiarity working with insurance companies

·      Experience and ability to interact well with patients and patient families 


Skills:

·      Strong verbal and written communication skills

·      Strong interpersonal skills

·      Patient and compassionate with a good bed-side manner

·      Punctual and reliable

·      Ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail

·      Strategic critical-thinker and problem-solver

·      Strong organizational skills

·      Tech-savvy and ability to learn quickly 


Requirements:

·      Professional appearance and manner.

·      Available at minimum 36 hours/week.

·      CPR certification is a plus.

·      Must strictly follow all HIPAA and confidentiality requirements

·      Must be willing to follow all CDC guidelines for healthcare settings.

·      Must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19


Compensation:

·      $18-25/hour (based on qualifications and experience)

·      Paid Holidays

·      Paid Sick leave and Vacation leave

·      Health Insurance coverage
