Position Overview: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of plastic manufacturing equipment and tools. The Manager will coordinate and monitor all maintenance activities, ensure optimal functioning of equipment, and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee maintenance and repair activities for plastic manufacturing equipment, including injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, tooling, and tool and die.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
- Provide technical direction to maintenance personnel for troubleshooting and repair of plastic manufacturing equipment.
- Assist with PLC programming and Troubleshooting
- Manage, Mentor and Oversee a team of technicians
- Parts Purchasing and Department Budgeting
- Maintain all related records in SAP.
- Ensure that all safety and quality standards are met and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Monitor maintenance inventory and forecast for future needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a plastics manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in injection molding, blow molding, and tool and die.
- Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
