The Position:

  • Ownership of all of marketing (lead generation, growth, performance marketing, lifecycle, media, brand and creative, strategy, insights and innovations)
  • Develop the investment strategy for deploying the marketing budget across a range of digital marketing channels; execute on meeting or achieving annual growth targets while maintaining budgeted marketing costs.
  • Build out best in class performance marketing engine utilizing all forms of digital marketing (paid search, paid social, email, text, native, etc.); optimize channel performance, and monitor campaign data across all channels against KPIs.
  • Develop, optimize, and expand breadth of marketing channels, strategies, and tactics to maximize acquisition volume and increase customer’s lifetime value.
  • Utilize existing marketing technology and work closely with the leadership team to identify and prioritize marketing technology needs.
  • Develop real time reporting across relevant marketing & sales performance metrics; utilize data to drive all marketing spend decision making and to optimize every aspect of lead gen organization.
  • Rigorous testing of content, audiences and channels to optimize marketing strategy.
  • Partner with marketing team and external agencies to ensure a consistent brand strategy across all consumer touchpoints. Work with integrations team to incorporate company acquisitions into brand guidelines.
  • Determine the right capabilities and tools to invest in and drive the “build vs. buy” decision.
  • Partner across the organization to support channel strategies and dive deep into customer insights to improve conversions across the funnel; work closely with leaders across the business.
  • Ability to oversee both local/regional (primary) and national (secondary) marketing campaigns.
  • Establish a monthly budget management system to provide clarity on actual marketing expenses vs budget as reallocations are made throughout the month/year.

  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.
  • Lead strategic planning around market and competitive analysis and customer segment selection and penetration.
  • Monitor trends; adjust strategy in line with shifts in the marketplace, including collecting competitive intelligence.
  • Define and direct programming for demand creation and lead generation.
  • Establish and monitor metrics and success criteria for marketing program effectiveness.
  • Build and develop the marketing team’s effectiveness through guidance, coaching, and needed resources.

Education and Experience:

  • Demonstrated track record as a successful marketing leader in a fast-paced, growth-oriented industry (including consumer services or an industry with similar multi-location dynamics).
  • Ideal education and experience includes: Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
  • 10+ years sales & marketing experience in an expanding, progressive DTC products and services
  • 5+ years in a leadership position.
  • Experience in strategic planning and collaboration with executive, sales, and key operational groups.
  • Demonstrated success leading a multi-faceted marketing organization and setting and achieving long-term strategic growth initiatives.
  • Proven success and track record as an individual contributor and manager who has achieved top line results.
  • Track record of building effective marketing programs across mobile, website, social, search, email and emerging digital channels that grow brands and better connect with the consumer.
