One of Insight Global's higher education clients is looking for a Public Safety Officer to join their team. This is a full-time role with benefits. The role is onsite in San Francisco, CA.


Salary: $79,186

Start Date: January 2025

Shift Times: 3 12-hr shifts with one 8-hr shift every other week

*Night shift: 7pm-7am PST


Required Skills & Experience:

  • California POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) Certificate - Does not have to be current
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to pass a psych background check


Plusses:

  • Consumer Affairs Guard Registration Card
  • Department of Justice Straight Baton Certification Card
  • BSIS Security Guard Chemical Agents Card
  • Red Cross Basic First Aid and CPR certification
  • Prior experience in a security related role
  • Prior work in a higher education setting


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor on-campus activity via patrol car or foot
  • Report violations of University rules, regulations and applicable criminal laws while performing duties
  • Escort various members of the university community who are on temporary disability through campus
  • Respond to any threats of emergency or violence
  • Work in tandem with the San Francisco Police Department when applicable
  • Assist in the process of Medical Transport if applicable
  • Create positive, collaborative, and professional relationships with the university community in order to create a safe atmosphere
