About the Role:
As a Maintenance Supervisor at Pennbarry, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the Maintenance Department, ensuring all machinery and equipment are maintained in safe, working condition. You will minimize production downtime, maintain buildings and grounds, and ensure adherence to safety and operational standards. Your leadership will help to maintain plant services, coordinate repair work, and manage preventative maintenance schedules, all while fostering a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all machinery and equipment are in safe working condition, maintaining accurate records of repairs, inventory, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Keep records of required mobile equipment and crane inspections.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans and policies to minimize asset downtime.
- Oversee the adequacy of plant services such as steam, electricity, gas, water, and waste disposal.
- Build and repair jigs, fixtures, and dies as required, outsourcing work as necessary to complete repairs.
- Provide training for a wide range of skilled trades, ensuring all employees are following safe work practices.
- Assist in JCMS action items and activities relevant to your skills and technical knowledge.
- Prepare CNC programs using Optimation software and CAD systems, working closely with CNC operators to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain Optimation system files and ensure compliance with project specifications and design requirements.
- Work to minimize costs by reducing scrap and optimizing production processes.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics knowledge, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), Internet software, and Email.
- Knowledge of CNC equipment used in manufacturing and ability to create CNC programs using Optimation software.
- Ability to lift 35-50 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with a focus on safety and operational efficiency.
