About the Maintenance Americas (AC) team

The Maintenance AC team is part of the Operations AC department and is responsible for the regional availability and condition of the fleet. The team currently consists of one Sr. Field Maintenance Technician in Brazil, one junior Field Maintenance Technician in Houston and one Team Lead, who is also based in Houston, Texas. As the team is currently relatively small, you’ll find yourself working closely with colleagues from the Europe region Maintenance Team. Next to these direct colleagues, you will also work together with Operations Project Managers, Operators, Technical Planners and Supply Chain management. The position is based out of Providence, Rhode Island. You will report to the Team Lead Field Maintenance Americas.


Your role as Senior Field Maintenance Technician

As Senior Field Maintenance Technician you maintain, diagnose and repair a variety of systems that make up our fleet. You are responsible for a perfect technical condition of the systems in your region, and you ensure that your work is performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. The maintenance work you carry out is very hands-on and can either be preventive or corrective, depending on the situation, which makes this role diverse and challenging. Frequent travel is essential in this role since our systems are operational across the region.


Your regular activities

  • Planning and carrying out of maintenance work orders, both preventive and corrective.
  • Ordering spare parts and third-party services via our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and ensure proper administration.
  • Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA’s) and toolbox talks.
  • Internal and external communication with all stakeholders to manage expectations.
  • Contribute to bigger maintenance and improvement projects.


Requirements:

  • Must be willing to relocate to Rhode Island
  • Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Vocational degree and 2+ years of relevant working experience, preferably in the offshore industry.
  • Good technical knowledge: proven experience with mechanics, hydraulics and electronics is a big plus.
  • Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • A flexible, proactive and disciplined mindset: willing to travel and work on weekends.
  • Strong administrative skills
