Manufacturing Accounting Lead

A Global Manufacturing Company located in the Greater Akron area is looking to hire a Lead Manufacturing Accountant. Working under the Operations Controller, this person will be responsible for the following:
- Overseeing standard costing methodology company-wide
- Consolidated plant accounting across the company, providing consolidated reporting and analysis to senior leadership
- Ensure all overhead costs are accurately applied in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze variances from standard and provide commentary to management
- Oversee cycle counting and inventory control processes
- Support budgeting and forecasting for each plant facility
- Calculate and analyze cost of goods sold
- Identify ways to streamline processes and create efficiencies across the manufacturing finance area
- Utilize SAP to increase visibility into the cost accounting function and create automated reports
The Manufacturing Accounting Lead must possess the following:
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and standard costing
- SAP proficiency
- Excellent Excel skills
