Classification: Full-Time/Seasonal (7–8 months, starting on or after March 1, 2025)
Location and Hours: Primarily onsite March-October with flexibility for remote work on non-show days; some planning and meeting time in off season
Reports To: Director of Venue Operations
Direct Reports: Production crew, stagehands, video director
Description:
Levitt Pavilion Denver is a 6,500-capacity nonprofit, independent venue with a mission to build community through music. Each season, Levitt presents 40+ free concerts spanning a wide array of genres, from emerging artists to national headliners, in addition to hosting rental events with outside promoters. Combined, these events draw an average of 120,000 annual visitors to Levitt’s beautiful, welcoming outdoor lawn in southwest Denver, just 10 minutes from downtown.
The Production Manager is responsible for advancing and executing all concerts and onsite events at the venue each season. The Production Manager is the primary point of contact for artists, management, partners, crew and vendors, and supports Levitt’s mission by ensuring the venue has the personnel, equipment and processes necessary to make Levitt a destination venue and provide the highest level of care, professionalism and technical support for every artist.
Core Responsibilities:
- Advance each show in Levitt’s summer concert series (40-45 shows, May to October)) and, as needed, serve as the primary production contact for outside promoters/venue rentals (est. 10-12 events) — including but not limited to communication with artist management, understanding and communicating in-house equipment and technical capacity, negotiating backline according to budgets/contracts, scheduling crew as appropriate for each show, confirming guest lists and credentials, coordinating merch delivery and seller needs, confirming day-of-show settlement and developing detailed production and event timelines.
- Timely communication and documentation throughout the advance process, day of show and post-show to ensure that artists/management, Levitt staff, partners and vendors have the information needed for successful events — specifics include artist management communication and follow up to finalize production details; entering relevant documentation into Prism booking software (W9s, riders, stage plots, receipts, invoices); participating in weekly all-staff meetings; and distributing advance sheets and run of show to all Levitt team members and partners as appropriate.
- Oversee day of show production and back of house needs — ensuring the venue is clean, organized and welcoming for artist arrival; managing execution of each event from load-in to teardown, including delegating stage management and teardown/closing duties as appropriate.
- Hire, train and manage a team of technicians and stagehands, providing guidance and support throughout event setup, execution, and breakdown. 2025 Levitt production crew to include a roster of audio, lighting and video engineers; stagehands; camera operators; and up to three interns.
- Maintain working knowledge of technical equipment and systems, identifying maintenance, rental and purchase needs leading up to and throughout the season
- Manage production equipment and staffing budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of in-house equipment and resources while maintaining high production standards, and proactively communicating with Director of Venue Operations about additional artist requests, staffing needs, etc.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to streamline production tools and processes, and maintain a clean, safe and organized venue.
Additional Duties and Expectations:
Each member of the Levitt Pavilion Denver team is required to uphold the Levitt mission and code of conduct, represent the organization positively at all times and contribute to a company culture of respect, transparency, and collaboration. Regular attendance at all-staff and applicable meetings, clear and consistent communication, and appropriate use of Levitt tools and systems including Google calendars, shared files, Prism and Connecteam is expected.
As a member of the core Levitt team, the Production Manager contributes to regular staff and production meetings; provides mentorship and training to part-time and seasonal employees; identifies personnel, facility, and systems needs; and engages in team and individual development, goal-setting and retreats/reflection. Levitt maintains a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and expects all employees to engage in this work through staff meeting reflections, workshops and professional development, identifying role-specific EDI goals and discussing challenges and accomplishments in performance reviews.
As a growing non-profit organization and live concert venue, Levitt Pavilion expects flexibility and accountability from all team members. Nights and weekends will be required during the concert season and additional duties may be assigned based on operational needs, while the planning season allows a more hybrid/flexible work schedule.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of live event production processes, including sound, lighting, A/V
- Proficiency in production software, equipment and booking management system (Prism or similar)
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines

- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with a calm, solution-oriented approach
- Strong negotiation skills when working with vendors, suppliers, and technical personnel
- Understanding of production budgets and cost-effective resource utilization
