We are seeking a full-time Operations/Sales Leader for our direct client – an SMB Government/DoD workforce solutions company located in northeast Phoenix.


Summary:

Our client is looking for a Sales/Operations leader to manage their day-to-day operations and assist with the management of the current pipeline and new business opportunities through direct and indirect customer contact and prospecting with the federal government/DoD using existing and new contract vehicles and set-asides.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides tactical input into the business development function by evaluating new initiatives and business opportunities
  • Lead efforts to understand ongoing customer requirements and capture follow-on business
  • Assists with development and generation of New Business Reviews and Capture Reviews
  • Understand DoD Budget and Breakdown
  • Understand FAR/DFARS and how to navigate government procurement
  • Identifies and understands pricing to win analysis data
  • Performs RFP Breakdown
  • Estimates Bid & Proposal funding requirements
  • Provide strategic input into the business development function by evaluating new initiatives and business opportunities
  • Conducts market analysis and competitive activity
  • Identifies and explores customer needs
  • Assists with the follow-through and deployment of the Company's vision, strategies, and tactics
  • Coordinate and facilitate activities and commitments with other departments and/or functions
  • Develop and track project schedules
  • Participate/coordinate in strategic partnerships and other external business relationships
  • Make presentations on the company portfolio of products and services
  • Attend business meetings as requested, which can require overnight travel.
  • Attend trade shows
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
  • Responsible for proposal preparation, development, and submittal.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or Economics or related discipline and extensive sales experience selling into Fed/DoD.
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in Fed/DoD Business Development and Account Management
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Planning and organization, project management, and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Strong understanding of government procurement methods
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
  • Must have the ability to travel
  • U.S. Citizenship required
