We are partnered with a leading renewable energy company that develops, finances, owns and operates utility-scale and distributed solar and storage projects across the country.
Role
Our client is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to support their solar and battery storage financing activities. Associates are critical members of deal teams, with their primary focus being financial modeling of transactions, engaging and negotiating with capital providers, managing transaction due diligence and playing a lead role in coordinating the presentation of proposed transactions to the Investment Committee.
Responsibilities
- Analyze solar project investment opportunities using traditional economic criteria such as unlevered and levered investment returns, identifying key value drivers for energy/infrastructure project valuations.
- Prepare and manage all aspects of financial models for project financing transactions.
- Lead deal execution, including weekly cross-functional meetings, maintaining project timelines, and evaluating risks that could delay projects or impact economics.
- Create and present materials for key stakeholders, including executive management and external financing parties.
- Manage internal and external project diligence and transaction timelines.
Qualifications
- 2-6 years of finance experience required, with multiple years working in the renewable energy industry (invesyment banking, project finance, or corporate M&A)
- Familiarity with tax equity structures utilized in the solar industry
