Job Title: IT Procurement Analyst (Contractor)

Location: Initially remote. Will become hybrid to Hicksville, NY

The contract duration is 12 months with a likely extension

40 hours/week, standard business hours, Mon-Fri

Pay Range: $54.09 - $56.79/W2


Job Description:


  • The primary objective of this position is to implement a well-defined, well-documented process to ensure that contractual expectations and objectives are met as it relates to information technology and telecommunications service and material providers.
  • Manage the development, negotiation and implementation of major technology and telecommunications related contracts leveraging spend, continuing to re-source recurring contractual commitments on a recurring cycle, manage emergent project work in support of operations, and manage key supplier relationships.
  • Work closely with technology and telecommunication firms to ensure warranties, transfer of ownership, and other contractual agreements are met.
  • Assure continuity of supply for all key contracted materials and services.
  • Handle technically complex projects and commercial negotiations that occur regularly in support of maintenance and operations.
  • Management and administration of contracts for various information technology projects being undertaken.
  • Manage change orders, claims and back charges.
  • Assert warranty claims.
  • Develop methods for assessing contractor performance.
  • Dispute resolutions.
  • Implement the appropriate processes and controls for protecting and preserving the Company’s contractual rights and remedies.
  • Responsible for planning, developing and coordinating innovative contracting strategies and solutions with client personnel, assisting in clearly and completely defining the scope of work, and assessing the qualifications and capabilities of contractors through RFPs or other processes for $1.5M to $10M new contracts.
  • Lead commercial negotiations.
  • Reports to the IT Operations Procurement Manager.


Required:


  • B.S./B.A. Degree
  • 6-10 years large contract management experience.
  • 7 years IT and telecommunications service management experience
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written, are mandatory, as well as a sound understanding of technology and telecommunications projects and scheduling.
  • Ability to negotiate.
  • Appropriately assess contractual risk and implement risk management strategies.
  • Implement measures and methods to tie payment to performance.
  • Monitor and manage cost and change.
  • Define and manage deliverables and respective responsibilities between the Company and the contractor.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
