ABOUT THE POSITION

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a QA Manager for a Direct-Hire position, 100% on-site in Castle Rock, CO. The QA Manager will manage a team of manual and automation engineers to test, debug, and bulletproof commercial-grade SaaS applications.


In this role, you will oversee a team of both manual and automation QA engineers, offering guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure high standards of performance. You will be responsible for talent management within your team, handling hiring, development, and retention processes. In collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, you will define quality objectives and deliverables while developing and implementing comprehensive QA strategies, standards, and procedures that promote consistent and efficient testing practices. Regular assessments of the QA team’s performance will allow you to identify areas needing improvement and drive targeted training initiatives.


A key focus of this role is to champion the adoption of automation testing tools and techniques, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process. You will also prioritize and allocate resources across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with deadlines and balancing competing demands. Working closely with product owners, you will help define acceptance criteria and guarantee comprehensive test coverage. Keeping abreast of the latest industry best practices and trends in QA and software development, you will share valuable knowledge and insights with your team to continuously elevate the QA function.


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ ​​years in the following skill sets…QA Leadership - proven experience in leading and managing diverse, multinational teams of QA engineers, with a focus on driving team success.
  • SDLC and Testing Expertise - In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies, with a keen understanding of quality assurance best practices.
  • Automation Testing
  • Advanced automation testing skills, with specialized expertise in at least one widely-used automation framework such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestNG.
  • Strategic Automation Implementation - Extensive experience in designing, developing, and executing automation testing strategies to improve overall testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Manual Testing - Strong foundation in manual testing techniques, ensuring thorough coverage of test cases and scenarios.
  • Agile/Scrum Methodology - Hands-on experience with Agile and Scrum development processes, contributing to iterative and collaborative product development.
  • CI/CD Pipeline - Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, facilitating seamless and automated software releases.
  • Cloud-Based Testing Tools - Experience with cloud-based testing environments and tools, enhancing testing flexibility and scalability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, and key stakeholders.
