In this role, you will have creative control over the training schedule of new hires and the training calendar. You will have input regarding the instructional design of various training offerings. Acting as a liaison between employees, managers and Human Resources, you will provide constructive insights toward implementing and improving training solutions and developing staff to support organizational strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute New Hire Onboarding
  • Schedule, coordinate and deliver instructor-led and on-the-job training for new hires
  • Facilitate New Employee Orientation
  • Evaluate opportunities to improve new hire skill sets and experience with the organization
  • Create, update, and facilitate training classes on critical and ancillary systems, products, and skills.
  • Facilitate training offerings (Compliance, Systems, Projects, and Developmental) via instructor led classroom and/or webinar format
  • Create training materials, using adult learning principles, to meet evolving organizational needs
  • Ensure training materials are kept current with organizational changes
  • Correct exams and provide feedback regarding staff training experience
  • Support Development initiatives and upskilling of the organization
  • Identify learning needs regarding the Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities of staff
  • Collaborate with HR peers and leadership to address learning needs and develop skillsets within the organization
  • Communicate with management, providing training feedback and development suggestions
  • Create and implement training solutions to improve Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Collaborate with HRBPs to support Development and Succession Planning
  • Administer and maintain Compliance Training and the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Collaborate with the Training & Development VP on the creation and execution of Compliance training plans
  • Execute the compliance training plan through the LMS
  • Monitor, track, and audit training completions
  • Create, maintain, and update training offerings within the LMS
  • Support critical Credit Union initiatives
  • Some travel required to extend trainings within our 19 branches in greater Boston metro area

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school degree required; Bachelors Degree or certification in training or education is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in training, education, development within banking, credit union, or other financial setting.

  • Solid presentation skills in classroom and remote environments
  • Poised, professional, confident in front of audiences, large and small;
  • Ability to manage multiple systems, AV equipment, PowerPoint, videos;
  • Experience with remote delivery of training through web-conferencing software;
  • Resilience and spontaneity to respond to audience needs
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Certification through Association of Talent Development (ATD), or equivalent, strongly preferred
  • Experience with Banking platforms (Fiserve, Insight, DNA, or COCC)
