At the core of this technological harmony is a vital role known as the Business Analyst (BA). As a Business Analyst, you will focus on GEM functionality, bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation, acting as the architect of digital transformation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and desired outcomes from the project.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and analyze existing documentation to elicit and document detailed requirements
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
  • Ensure effective communication, manage expectations, and provide updates on the progress of the API project.
  • Understand existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements through API integration.
  • Analyze workflows, data flows, and dependencies to optimize business operations.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, API/Interface documentation, and integration guides.
  • Ensure these documents serve as references for developers, users, and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with technical teams, architects, and developers to define API/Interface design and specifications.
  • Document API endpoints, methods, data formats, authentication mechanisms, error handling, and versioning strategies.
  • Identify and analyze use cases for the API to understand how it will be utilized by different systems, applications, or external parties.
  • Determine functional requirements and integration points to ensure seamless interoperability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define UAT scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate UAT sessions, gather feedback, and ensure the systems meet business requirements and expectations.
  • Work with the QA team to define test plans, test cases, and test data for testing.
  • Ensure the systems function correctly, handle errors appropriately, and perform optimally under different scenarios.
  • Assist in change management processes, including impact analysis, change requests, and version control.
  • Manage changes to the design, functionality, and deployment process, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
  • Provide support during the post-implementation phase, address user queries, troubleshoot issues, and facilitate continuous improvement of the system based on user feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, API/Interface design, specifications, and documentation.
  • Finance or Accounting background a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and testing practices.

Work Conditions

The company operates in a highly regulated gaming and lottery business. As a result, certain employees may be required to obtain a gaming or other license(s), undergo background investigations or security checks, or meet certain standards dictated by law, regulation, or contracts. To ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual commitments, all employees are required to meet these requirements as a condition of employment. As a prerequisite to employment (to the extent permitted by law), candidates may be asked to consent to a due diligence/background investigation.

Additional Details
 The base salary range for this position is $100k - $110k annually, depending on experience.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
