Allentown, PA AREA


Kane Partner’s has been selected by our client to conduct a confidential search for an HVAC Commercial Projects Project Manager/Field Supervisor. This role will be located in the Allentown, PA area.


The Commercial Projects Project Manager is responsible to manage commercial projects from inception to completion.


Responsibilities:

· Review new projects in the office with the Estimator and Department Manager before work begins. Complete turnover paperwork and distribute to Foreman

· Review Submittals before material release

· Contact owner or general contractor to schedule work

· Scheduling men on jobsites

· Initial buyout of equipment and material

· Make a list for Purchasing Agent with dates needed

· Contact and buyout all subcontractors needed

· Attend onsite G.C. job meeting and inform the Project Labor Manager of any items brought up in the meeting

· Provide all information and paperwork to the General Contractor in a timely manner

· Create Change Orders

· Prepare the red line as-built drawings for the projects close out documents

· Review O&M’s before they are sent to the general contractors or owners

· Schedule inspections and walk throughs with inspection officials

· Initiate weekly meetings on job cost and progress and prepare monthly billing

· Look for new products to make our projects run smoother, save time, and money

· Attend Closeout Review Meetings for completed projects

· Set and maintain project schedule and budget and track all costs associated with each project to maintain desired budget and job profitability

· Assist the Department Manager with the Work in Progress (WIP) projections as needed

· Track shipments to coordinate deliveries and approve invoices

· Attend job site and layout, ductwork (measure), unit locations, ATC, and any piping involved in the job. Submit material list to purchasing agent. Set up crane lifts and deliveries of equipment & material.

· Order equipment to make job safer for the men man lifts, material list etc.

· Look over fab sheets, give to fab shop and coordinate fab time and delivery.

· Troubleshoot the day to day problems with the men onsite

· Provide red line as-built drawings to office from the field

· Walk though when jobs are complete to check quality and all aspects of our job are complete

· Attend and participate in safety committee meetings

· Inspect jobsite for safety concerns and address the problems with the safety committee and General Contractor

· Complete two week look aheads with the foreman in the field and plan their work load to stay under budget and on schedule

· Be available for crane lifts to make sure every thing goes smoothly and the men are being safe

· Verify shipments received are correct per purchase order

· Set up and initial training of new employee’s in the commercial department

· Complete employee evaluation paperwork and review with department manager and HR. Attend employees annual reviews.

· Keep a detailed log of the day to day activities.

· Make sure all injuries are reported back to HR and follow up to confirm all paperwork is completed and returned to HR.


Work Experience:

7 years commercial HVAC field experience

3 years supervisory experience
