As the Chief Acquisition Officer (CAO), you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth and expansion of our organization through effective acquisition strategies. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships that align with the company's goals and objectives. The CAO will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with senior leadership, and leverage market insights to drive successful transactions and foster long-term value creation.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning: Implement the company’s programmatic acquisition strategy. Continuously assess market dynamics, competitive landscape, and industry trends to identify opportunities for expansion.


Deal Sourcing and Evaluation: Proactively identify potential acquisition targets, partnerships, and investment opportunities through thorough market research, networking, and industry relationships. Conduct rigorous financial analysis, due diligence, and risk assessments to evaluate the feasibility and strategic fit of potential transactions.


Negotiation and Execution: Lead negotiations, structuring, and execution of complex acquisition deals, including mergers, asset purchases, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. Collaborate with legal, finance, and other stakeholders to navigate regulatory requirements, contractual agreements, and integration planning.


Integration Management: Assist the company’s Chief Administration Officer with post-acquisition integration efforts to ensure seamless transition, synergy realization, and alignment with strategic objectives


Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, investment banks, legal advisors, and other key stakeholders to support deal flow and strategic initiatives. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including finance, operations, marketing, and technology, to drive cross-functional alignment and execution excellence.


Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with acquisitions, including financial, operational, legal, and reputational risks. Develop contingency plans and proactive strategies to address challenges and ensure successful outcomes.


Performance Tracking and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success and impact of acquisition activities. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, board of directors, and other stakeholders to communicate progress, insights, and recommendations.

Divestiture Analysis: Work with the executive team to identify company assets that should be evaluated for divestiture.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.


Proven track record of successful mergers and acquisitions, with at least 10 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or strategic consulting.


Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and deal structuring.


Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.


Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively, anticipate market trends, and identify growth opportunities.


Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Knowledge of regulatory requirements, legal frameworks, and compliance standards related to mergers and acquisitions.


High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all business dealings.
