Outstanding manufacturing company seeks highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join phenomenal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating with our engineering design team for new product introduction (NPI) from prototype to full rate production, developing instructions and methods for product assembly and test, recommending/developing production tools, equipment and fixtures, production line layout, line balancing, and line maintenance. This individual will also be responsible for improving manufacturing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality standards are met. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.


Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:


•Acts as the direct liaison for the Production department to the Engineering department’s project managers in support of NPI and product sustainment projects.

•Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with company goals and objectives.

•Determines and documents the step-by-step assembly and test instructions for NPI and existing products and develops processes to ensure that manufacturability, quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met.

•Trains assembly and test personnel on various production processes including but not limited to: assembly and test of products; proper use and navigation of the company’s assembly and test software; proper use of tools and fixtures, and equipment; the proper use of adhesives and fasteners; etc.

•Provides technical support to production teams and resolves manufacturing-related issues in a timely manner.

•Helps develop general production floor layout of production lines and equipment for productivity and efficiency in accordance with Lean Manufacturing principles.

•Determines manufacturing tools, equipment, and fixtures needed to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality.

•Evaluates existing manufacturing processes and equipment to identify and implement areas of improvement for cost, quality, productivity, and efficiency.

•Evaluates quality control processes and makes recommendations for improvements in quality control.

•Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair services and ensures that the manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational.

•Uses computer-aided drafting and other processing software to develop layouts, drawings, and designs that meet Engineering and Manufacturing specifications.

•Identifies and helps develop packaging materials and requirements for new and existing products. Creates packaging bill of materials. Acts as point of contact between suppliers and our client to ensure final product packaging needs and requirements are developed and met.


Minimum Requirements:


•A Manufacturing Engineer degree or five+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

•Proficient with MS Office.

•Proficient with CAD Software, in particularly SolidWorks and SolidWorks Composer and other document processing software. A general understanding of Electronics.

•Familiarity with ESD-sensitive devices and the methods to mitigate potential damage.

•A general understanding of the various software/Firmware loading processes.

•A good understanding of testing methodologies.

•A good understanding of, and familiarity of, Lean Manufacturing processes.
