We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Assistant HR General Manager to join our client’s team in Morristown, NJ. The successful candidate will assist the HR General Manager in overseeing all aspects of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, training, and performance management. The role requires a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in HRIS software. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential for effective communication with our diverse workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires into the organization.
- Support the development and implementation of training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Collaborate with department managers to facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR practices and policies.
- Handle employee relations issues with sensitivity and professionalism, providing guidance and support to managers and employees as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Assist in the administration of HRIS software, including data entry, report generation, and system maintenance.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing documents.
- Assist in special HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of HR processes and procedures, including recruitment, employee onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office suite.
