Job Summary: The Salesforce CPQ Architect will be responsible for designing and architecting Salesforce CPQ solutions that meet business needs and drive efficiency. This role requires deep expertise in Salesforce CPQ, strong technical skills, and the ability to align technology solutions with business strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Architecture:

  • Lead the design and architecture of Salesforce CPQ solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce CPQ solutions.
  • Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, design documents, and implementation plans.

Implementation and Customization:

  • Oversee the implementation and customization of Salesforce CPQ features, including product configuration, pricing, quoting, and approval processes.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce CPQ to meet specific business needs, including creating custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules.
  • Integrate Salesforce CPQ with other systems and third-party applications as needed.

Technical Leadership and Best Practices:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce CPQ features, updates, and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to enhance our solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization to ensure the highest level of system performance and reliability.

Training and Support:

  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users and administrators to ensure effective use of Salesforce CPQ.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Salesforce CPQ-related issues, working closely with the support team to resolve problems promptly.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within CPQ operations using Salesforce CPQ.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to define and prioritize enhancements, ensuring continuous alignment with evolving business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Salesforce, with at least 3 years focused on Salesforce CPQ.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing Salesforce CPQ solutions.
  • Certifications: Salesforce CPQ Specialist, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce CPQ features and capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and other Salesforce development tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other Salesforce products such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
  • Knowledge of CPQ best practices and processes.
  • Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master).
