The person filling this position will be responsible for working cross-functionally and closely with the Head of Finance and HR to oversee the growth of the entire Shrub Oak team, ensuring strategic branding for recruitment and talent acquisition, use innovative approaches to seek and maintain outstanding staff, and employ evidence-based recommendations for workforce advancement to support Shrub Oak's growth. A successful candidate will develop strategies to foster an environment of learning, innovation, respect, collaboration, and excellence. The successful candidate will welcome feedback, be open to new ideas, and support personal growth and development and organization-wide improvement in these areas. In addition, the successful candidate will exercise discretion in this role to allow for the creation of safe, candid, and confidential spaces for staff to communicate concerns.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the total talent strategy including designing and driving the adoption of consistent recruiting, interviewing and hiring practices that support a strong candidate to employee experience and meet our rapid growing demand for outstanding staff.
  • Strategic development of talent branding and marketing for our Talent Acquisition team, including strategies across digital platforms to support a competitive recruiting landscape and conduct measurement and analysis of campaigns.
  • Defining and driving the team to meet and exceed hiring benchmarks relating to time to fill, cost per hire, diversity hiring, with a strong focus on hiring manager and candidate satisfaction.
  • Build and implement innovative, scalable, and consistent solutions that support hiring outcomes in line with the exponential growth strategy of the school.
  • Build influential relationships across the organization and partner with Talent Acquisition leadership to solve complex problems and proactively identify business improvement opportunities to effectively drive change management.
  • Being a subject matter expert on Talent Acquisition data, in a self-sufficient manner, to effectively call out themes and risks that drive forward improvements and efficiencies.
  • Deliver on Talent Acquisition objectives by continually monitoring overall recruiting performance and liaising with key department partners such as Recruiting Analytics, Recruiting Programs, People Analytics, HR, and Workforce Planning.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging recruitment technologies, incorporating innovative approaches into our talent acquisition efforts.
  • Define, analyze, and communicate metrics and ROI data that demonstrate effectiveness and success of talent marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborates with leadership on strategic projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

4-6 years minimum HR experience with a focus on talent branding, recruitment, and strategic workforce planning.

Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience

Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing talent management strategies and initiatives.

Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
