Cetera is seeking an organized and proactive Operations Professional I to join our Transitions team in Des Moines, IA. This position offers a unique opportunity to support financial professionals in a vital operations role that emphasizes quality customer service and high-level administrative support. Following a successful training period, this role may offer a hybrid work option.



What you will do:

  • Operational Support: Deliver high-quality operational and administrative support within the Transitions department, handling tasks essential to account management and process efficiency.
  • Daily Workflow Management: Execute daily department processes, including journal entries, account processing, and payment solutions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Customer Service: Address inquiries from internal and external clients, including registered representatives, providing timely responses regarding account statuses, updates, and procedures.
  • Account Research: Conduct in-depth account research as needed, delivering insights and solutions to meet client needs effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members to maintain a consistent and exceptional service experience for financial professionals, enhancing team performance and client satisfaction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all team processes, procedures, and regulatory standards, contributing to a culture of compliance and accountability.
  • Additional Duties: Support other operational initiatives and projects as assigned, staying flexible to adapt to shifting priorities and tasks.


What you will have:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of operations experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication, organizational, and adaptability skills
  • Positive role model with a team-oriented mindset
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to resolve complex issues independently
  • Receptive to feedback, demonstrating a high level of responsiveness to training and coaching
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitasking effectively


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the finance industry
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Series 99, 6, or 7 license
  • Demonstrated success in problem resolution, organization, and follow-up
  • Experience balancing regulatory deadlines, field inquiries, and internal tasks with efficiency
