Attorney – Full-time – Anchorage, Alaska
Engaging position with opportunity to grow for motivated individual.
Well established Anchorage probate and estate planning firm needs a diligent and self-motivated attorney. A dedicated, reliable person who feels comfortable being self-guided in their work is the perfect fit. You must have at least two years’ experience in probate to be considered. We do ask for competence and comfort with Microsoft Word and Outlook. Experience with Excel, Adobe, and QuickBooks Online is a plus but not required. We will highly value any individual who is bilingual in Spanish and offer a corresponding pay bump. The attorney will directly represent clients in probate and estate planning. They will help to meticulously maintain up-to-date files on individual matters and ensure client success. They will draft motions, pleadings, memos, and conduct legal research. The attorney will appear in court on behalf of clients. The attorney will conduct initial consultations. Additional responsibilities include maintaining client databases, answering telephones as needed, completion of form letters/pleadings, drafting correspondence, completing random tasks that come up in the day to day of a bustling law office. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and a sense of pride and importance concerning your work product. You also should enjoy working in a small office where we all get to know and care for each other. Must pass background check, as honesty, responsibility, and motivation are critically important. Must be proficient at typing and possess excellent grammar/writing skills. An eye for detail is also highly valued.
