As a System Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Interface with the customers during project/ program initiation to architect subsystems and components
  • Lead subsystem and component level requirement management processes and tools across multidiscipline engineering teams
  • Lead requirement decomposition for both electrical and mechanical subsystems with subsystem project engineers
  • Allocate technical budgets among subsystems
  • Define and manage system and subsystem interface control documents and requirements
  • Review risk assessment and requirement prioritization
  • Lead project risk management including SHA, FMEA, FMECA
  • Ensure complete project specifications throughout project lifecycle

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, system engineering or equivalent degree
  • 5-10+ years working directly with electrical mechanical systems
  • Must be US Persons (citizens or permanent residents)
  • Demonstrated experience with requirement management tool setup/ configuration
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful programs by creating requirements-based culture utilizing system engineering tools and best practices
  • Experience working within a phase gate product design process
  • Experience with safety hazard analysis, failure modes effects analysis and associated standards: MIL-STD-882E, MIL_STD-1629A, IEC-60812, AS13004
  • Familiarity with reliability analysis, planning and Testing
  • Experience with MBSE and software tool such as: Siemens Polarion, MATLAB, or Simulink
