Position Overview:
ABM Industries, a prominent provider of integrated facility management solutions, is seeking a Facility Systems Engineer.

Role Summary:
The Facility Systems Engineer assists the designated management team in overseeing the daily functionality of all building systems.

This encompasses maintenance and repair of hard surfaces, basic carpentry, metalwork, and the operation, upkeep, and repair of all facility system equipment related to HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems.

The Facility Systems Engineer will also address customer inquiries, manage work orders, and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation:
Pay Range:
$27.00 /HR (

The salary range for this position may vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market alignment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on buildings, utilities, grounds, and equipment.
- Enhance the repair and maintenance processes for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.


- Implement best practices for troubleshooting and resolving equipment and system issues efficiently.

- Ensure continuous operation of equipment through effective troubleshooting and repairs.
- Provide hands-on training and collaborate with other engineering team members.
- Promote a work environment focused on energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions.
- Document all relevant data in building logbooks and maintain accurate daily records.
- Perform utility and equipment testing.
- Maintain records on all equipment in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Complete administrative paperwork following departmental policies and procedures.


- Stay updated on the latest technologies related to building systems and emergency response protocols for fire and life safety.

- Actively participate as a team member.
- Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality service.
- Adhere to ABM Industries and facility policies and procedures.
- Engage in the safety programs of both ABM Industries and the specific facility.
- Maintain regular attendance at the workplace.
- Deliver exceptional service to tenants, staff, and visitors at the facility.
- Engage in regular communication with the Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, management, tenants, and other staff members.

Qualifications:
- Relevant experience commensurate with the specific facility for the Engineer position.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Possession of the highest-level relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC, along with a universal refrigerant recovery license.
- Proficiency in computer skills and experience with building automation systems is required.
- Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as necessary.
- Working knowledge of energy conservation is required; formal training is preferred.
