QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an Operations Associate who will be a key member of a small team critical to ensuring the needs of the family office are met. This person should have foundational knowledge of basic accounting concepts, middle and back-office functions, investment and wealth management services, and the ability to conduct desktop research on a wide range of topics. They should be proficient in Excel and have the ability to learn and master a variety of software systems.


We are looking to recruit someone who is passionate about their work, who is energetic and will take ownership of their work product and ensure it is timely and accurate. The candidate will be able to work in a time-sensitive environment and balance competing priorities.


The Operations Associate should have strong communication skills and the ability to juggle several high priority tasks simultaneously. They should embrace a challenging, complex and deadline driven role by staying organized and finding solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor, collect, and report daily activity to appropriate parties for all advised entities
  • Review, reconcile, and solve daily exceptions for reporting and trade functions
  • Review, reconcile and maintain security and account attribute databases
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Office suite of functions to combine multiple sources of data into a consolidated format for use by various functions and stakeholders
  • Support the Operations Specialist with various information gathering, research and
  • Generate excel based reporting packages for various internal and external teams on a regular and ad hoc basis
  • Support the daily investment function with middle and back-office trade support, including post-trade processing and trade clearing
  • Support the investment function with middle and back-office asset servicing, including corporate actions, processing 3rd party statements, notices, asset transfers, capital calls and distributions and 3rd party subscriptions
  • Support the accounting function with third party administrators including data transmission support, reconciliation of transaction and portfolio details, and cyclical bank file retention
  • Support the accounting, operations and investment functions with ad hoc, time-sensitive requests and projects
  • Support the family relations function with respect to financial, legal, and general matters regarding family members


EDUCATION

Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related.
