Location: Norco, LA
- The Scheduler assists in the development of Project Schedules utilizing the Critical Path Method for E -engineering, EP -engineering, and procurement, and/or EPC engineering, procurement and construction programs consisting of inter-relating projects and projects of varying size, complexity, and delivery. In this role you will assist in developing schedules by identifying relationships, logic, milestones, constraints and resource loading of cost and man hours along with the regular maintenance and periodic updating of the schedules.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates ability to generate accurate Project Schedules using Primavera P6 software.
- Capable of developing schedules for a variety of industrial projects including Oil and Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, and Clean Energy.
- Development of schedules identifying relationships, logic, milestones, constraints and resource loading of cost and man hours along with the regular maintenance and periodic updating of the schedules.
- Create high quality, detailed job plans that account for the correct people, equipment, materials and services to perform work in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner in SAP utilizing GTM and USGC Planner Operating Discipline.
- Verify and process approved work requests based on priority and risk rank.
- Ensure environmental, health and safety considerations are factored into every plan via a Planning Level Risk Assessment PLRA Provide feedback to the cross-functional teams on approved work request quality as needed and flag any constraints/barriers to timely planning and/or execution engineering required, isolation issues, etc. Prepare structured job plans with effective breakdown of the work required including craft steps, duration, resources, and all relevant documentation.
- Must be able to walk 100 of jobs in the field and retrieve data from previous like jobs and equipment files
- Utilize electronic equipment files to retrieve critical equipment information.
- Read P IDs, piping isometrics and piping specifications
- Support reliability to create, optimize, review and release cyclical program job plans Identify continuous improvement opportunities by using and improving plan templates and soliciting feedback both during the planning process and following work execution Understand and apply the Maintenance and Reliability standards, turnaround standards and other applicable standards, policies, procedures, and relevant key performance indicators, guidance documents and updates.
- Participate in add on planning, and coordination activities during the turnaround execution window
- Communicates and coordinates between various individuals and departments on each project to pro-actively manage the schedule, update progress and anticipate delays. Identifies, conceptualizes plans resources i.e. manpower, capital, facilities material expenses in the schedule development. Creates milestone schedules for delivery of engineering deliverables, equipment, raw materials or subcontracted work and labor.
- Takes a forward-thinking approach to scheduling and assists in preparing Schedule Analysis reports with Explanation of Schedule Variances. Reviews and analyzes Notices of Change and Requests for Change for schedule impact.
- Assists in preparing Schedule Analysis reports with Explanation of Schedule Variances.
- Performs Quantitative Risk Analysis with P Values and What-ifs scenarios to support the project development.
- Represents the project with Management and third-party auditors/independent engineers.
