We are seeking a Design Drafter for an exciting opportunity in Richmond, VA. This role is perfect for someone with 3-5 years of experience who has a strong foundation in drafting principles and is ready to contribute to a dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain documents related to design, engineering, and construction.
  • Manage drawings, prints, diagrams, and various documents, ensuring they are properly filed and accessible.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and power station personnel to perform drafting tasks and update existing drawings and documents.
  • Compile and organize submittal drawings and documents from third-party vendors and consultants.
  • Locate, modify, and print drawings using both small and large format plotters.


Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of drafting principles, building, and construction.
  • Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and either AutoCAD or MicroStation drawing software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to process and understand maps and charts effectively.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's Degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
