Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets for heavy civil and industrial construction projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and client requirements.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate project progress and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities, quality of work, and adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to proactively address challenges and minimize project disruptions.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including project schedules, progress reports, change orders, and budget updates, to track project milestones and financial expenditures accurately.
  • Facilitate project meetings, record meeting minutes, and follow up on action items to ensure clear communication and alignment among project team members.
  • Support the procurement process by soliciting bids from subcontractors and vendors, reviewing proposals, and negotiating contracts to secure cost-effective resources for project execution.
  • Assist in the coordination of equipment and material deliveries, ensuring timely availability of resources at the construction site to support project milestones and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the safety officer to enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among all project team members to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, construction technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions and efficiencies into project planning and execution.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project coordination or management in heavy civil and industrial construction projects.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, methods, and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
