Product Manager/Senior Product Manager (Product Marketing & Product Development)

We are a fast-growing E-commerce and wholesale professional hair and cosmetic company. We specialize in creating accessories and hair products based on modern science & nature’s ingredients for consumers with wavy, curly & coily hair.


Position Summary:

The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, launch, and lifecycle management of products to ensure alignment with Bounce Curl’s vision and market demands. This role collaborates closely with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to create innovative, high-performing products tailored to customer needs while maintaining brand consistency. This position is essential in driving product success and ensuring Bounce Curl remains competitive in the market.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify consumer needs, market trends, and innovation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize product ideas based on customer insights and business goals.
  • Partner with R&D, Product Development, and Brand Strategy teams to establish clear product requirements.
  • Oversee the creation of product labels and packaging, ensuring regulatory compliance and brand consistency.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans, including positioning, messaging, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Oversee product pages on Bounce Curl’s website and e-commerce platforms, ensuring accuracy and optimization.
  • Collaborate with wholesale and retail partners to develop tailored strategies, including in-store promotions and co-branded campaigns.
  • Manage product development and marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Use tools to track product performance and provide monthly reports identifying sales strategies with actionable insights for marketing or end-of-life planning.
  • Manage product lifecycle.
  • Maintain 3-year launch calendar.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external partners.
  • Create and manage project timelines, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.

Team Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively and independently with a strong work ethic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Take good meeting notes, keep project management platforms up to date, and multitask to complete work on time.
  • Identify gaps and areas for improvement, find solutions to increase productivity and project quality, decrease costs, and streamline timelines.
  • Determine areas for your professional development quarterly.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Development, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager working for a manufacturer in the beauty, cosmetics, hair care, or consumer goods industry, with a focus on both B2C and B2B is REQUIRED.
  • Must be currently working as a Product Manager for a company that manufactures their own beauty, cosmetics, hair care, or consumer goods products is REQUIRED.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, packaging design, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), project management platforms, Shopify, and CRM tools.


This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, hybrid position, Monday through Friday.
