We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sales Director to play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth and executing strategic sales initiatives. This position is essential in developing and implementing comprehensive plans to achieve significant sales growth, particularly through new business acquisitions and expanding relationships with third-party retailers.


Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Plan Development:

  • Collaborate with the GVP of Sales to design and execute strategic commercial plans aimed at expanding market presence through third-party retailers.
  • Develop and implement detailed action plans to meet and exceed growth objectives.

Leadership in Growth Initiatives:

  • Lead and drive initiatives to achieve double-digit growth across the Sales Organization.
  • Train and guide the sales team on new business development practices, tracking progress to ensure targets are met.

New Business Acquisition:

  • Independently contribute to 25-35% of the company’s growth by acquiring new business, with a focus on third-party retail channels.
  • Utilize existing contacts and establish new relationships to expand the customer base and increase sales revenue.

Collaboration on Sales Materials:

  • Work closely with internal teams to develop compelling sales materials that support both new business initiatives and ongoing account development.
  • Provide sales tools and resources to enhance prospecting and business development efforts.

Corporate Retailer Interactions:

  • Lead the preparation and execution of key corporate retailer meetings, including NACDS, PDMs, and other prospecting activities, to secure and grow retail partnerships.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required; MBA is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a senior sales leadership role.
  • Proven success in new business acquisition and driving sales growth within the retail or consumer products industry.
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing commercial plans targeting third-party retailers.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing and training sales teams, with a focus on monitoring and achieving growth targets.
  • At least 2 years of management experience.
