Key Responsibilities:     

             

  • Strategy & Tactics: Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies aligned with company objectives, leveraging both traditional and digital channels.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Establish, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Software/Hardware Expenses: Manage the marketing budget, including allocation of funds for software, hardware, and other resources necessary for campaign execution.
  • Achieving Department Goals: Set ambitious yet achievable targets for the marketing team and monitor progress towards meeting departmental objectives.
  • Vendor Communication: Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to ensure alignment with company goals and maximize return on investment.
  • Customer Surveys: Develop and implement customer survey strategies to gather feedback, identify areas for improvement, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for growth. Use insights to inform marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Manage, mentor, and coach an internal marketing team.
  • Accountable for the marketing team’s production of marketing collateral and related documents.
  • Help develop the annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Act as principal liaison and provide direction to multiple third-party marketing agencies.
  • Complete other duties and tasks as assigned.

  • 5+ years managing a marketing team in a B2B organization within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor a team towards achieving common goals.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and platforms, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Understanding of and/or proficiency in design software, CRM and marketing automation software (Sugar Market/Sell CRM), and websites.


Desired Qualities:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • High capacity for successful self-direction.
  • Project management experience, training, or successes.
  • Prior experience using Adobe Creative suite, copywriting, and/or performing digital marketing.
  • Prior work experience in the commercial recreation industry.
  • Prior experience with Sugar Market, Sugar CRM, or customer journey mapping.


Physical/Environmental Requirements: 

Physical Activities: Able to meet all physical requirements of routine office work

Level of Visual Acuity: Professional office position with prolonged viewing of computer screens

Environmental Conditions: Inside office locations and sites; trips to project sites and tradeshows


Travel Needs:

This position will require occasional overnight or weekend travel to vendors, customers, tradeshows, and jobs sites.


FSLA Exempt/Non-exempt Classification:

Exempt Classification: This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and not subject to the requirements for payment for any hours worked in excess of 40 in a week (overtime). This position is expected to occasionally require hours in excess of 40 hours per week during seasonal needs, for business related travel or if related to a special project.
