What you will do


As a Director of IT, you will work closely with the various departments within Samsung Ads to help support all critical business corporate functions. You also have an opportunity to partner with the broader Samsung organization’s IT departments to align on strategy and day to day


This role is a high-level departmental leader who develops and maintains the IT department’s strategic road map, ensuring that information technology capabilities continually support the overall business’s objectives.


You will work with some incredibly talented and passionate developers with a solid technical background to bring products and services to a market with unique technical challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and strategy, as well as technical leadership, for the IT Operations team.
  • Build an IT Operations roadmap in collaboration with key internal stakeholders and ensure its delivery.
  • Planning and monitoring the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
  • Communicate effectively and build a strong relationship with internal clients to understand their reality and constraints, identify needs, provide visibility and strategic counsel, and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Be hands-on working with the team to solve technical challenges and deliver projects.
  • Maintain planning and budget forecasts and communicate with other Managers to ensure appropriate staffing on projects.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship to the team members.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices for tools, technologies and management.


Required Skills And Experience

  • A strong understanding of computer hardware and systems (operating systems, business systems, networking, automations).
  • A strong understanding of business systems architecture, design and implementation.
  • Experience in leading multiple implementations of business and IT systems in a geographically distributed context.
  • Experience handling projects independently and efficiently, collaborating with multiple teams.
  • Highly organized and adept at managing priorities and multitasking.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility, collaboration, resourcefulness, and positive attitude are the keys to success in this role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong relationships.
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Fluency in Korean is a plus.


Compensation for this role is expected to be between $210,000 and $245,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
