Job Description:

As a Java Struts Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications using the Struts framework. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to deliver robust and scalable software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using the Struts framework.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to gather and understand requirements.
  • Develop and implement application features based on business needs.
  • Perform code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues in existing applications.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development.
  • Proficiency in Java programming and the Struts framework.
  • Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and SQL.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications in Java or related technologies are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
  • Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
