Our client a top tier global financial services firm is seeking an FX Trade Support associate to join their growing team. This role will be hybrid based in the Midtown, NY area.


Key Responsibilities:


- Daily capture and verification of trades, including FX Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, FX Options, Exotic Options, Structured Trades (e.g., Volatility/Variance Swaps, Range Accruals), FX Futures, Bond Futures, Interest Rate Futures, Options on Futures, and Bond Options.

- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of trade lifecycle from booking to confirmations, settlements, novation, NPV of cash flows, terminations, and control of trade workflow, including ownership of inter-system reconciliations.

- Utilize matching systems such as Harmony PB, Traiana, Capitolis, FXAll, FXConnect, GTSS, Misys, Markitwire, CLS, and Bloomberg.

- Address queries and ad-hoc requests from the front office, risk, compliance, finance, and operations teams.

- Monitor regulatory compliance, including counterparty risk, CSA agreements, mandatory clearing, SEF/MAT, Dodd-Frank, MiFID, and CFTC exceptions.

- Research and troubleshoot issues related to trade booking, cash breaks, P&L variances, and valuation discrepancies.

- Oversee end-of-day official market production, ensuring accurate and timely FX market building and maintenance.

- Coordinate with quant and technology teams to recommend, test, and implement enhancements to trading platforms and internal reconciliations/controls.

- Drive continuous improvements to trading systems and related control frameworks, managing ad-hoc projects on a global scale.

Skills, Experience, Qualifications, and Knowledge Required:


- Bachelor’s degree in Finance.

- In-depth knowledge of the FX asset class and derivative instruments, with 5+ years of middle office or related operational experience.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and work in a structured, high-volume, time-sensitive, high-risk, and demanding environment.

- Ability to interface effectively with both front and back office personnel to resolve various trade issues.

- Quick learner with the ability to prioritize workload under stressful situations.

- Identifies gaps or inefficiencies in processes and takes ownership for change.

- Motivated and diligent learner capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

- Adaptable team player able to adjust to a continuously changing environment.

- Proficiency in Excel, with knowledge of Macros/VBA/Digital tools being advantageous.

- Excellent analytical skills and a positive attitude.
