Accountabilities & Performance Measures:

  • Develop, test, and deploy e-commerce platform features, optimizations, bug fixes, and integrations.
  • Write high-performance, scalable, reusable modern object-oriented code.
  • Ensure systems and services are scalable, resilient, and meet performance standards.
  • Integrate our ecommerce platform with internal and external systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing web applications.
  • Conduct and participate in design and programming code reviews, and user acceptance testing.


Competencies:

  • Must have the ability to develop modules, customizations, and extension development.
  • Write clean, modular, robust code according to Magento standards.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP design patterns, object-oriented programming and MVC architecture.
  • PHP frameworks including Zend Framework.
  • CRON, shell scripts, Apache, Nginx, logs, package updating.
  • LAMP/MAMP stacks
  • Version control systems.
  • Integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
  • User authentication methods, efficient client-server interactions, and internet security.
  • MySQL, including designing efficient data-structures and queries.
  • Headless architecture and ecosystems, PWA (Progressive Web Apps) a plus.
  • Experience in ecommerce hosting in a cloud environment or equivalent flexible computing model.
  • Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices.
  • Experience across the software development life cycle (requirements gathering, process design, configuration, functional design, QA, conversion, and deployment).
  • Experience in a high-traffic online, consumer-facing ecommerce business.
  • Good understanding of ecommerce/digital space and a passion for innovative technologies.
  • System and/or functional analysis experience.
  • Understanding of PCI compliance and methodologies.
  • A scientific mind: you know how to experiment, measure against your hypothesis, and then move forward with the best possible solution.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of relevant project management, tracking, configuration and change management tools and systems.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, as needed, to hit project deadlines or address production issues.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 6+ years of Magento 2 Enterprise ecommerce platform experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with databases technologies e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch.
  • 6+ years of API development (REST, GraphQL).
  • 6+ years of professional experience in ecommerce technical architecture, implementation, operations, and administration.
  • Experience in retail or B2B business with focus on implementing and supporting ecommerce platforms, preferably in the jewelry or fashion industry a plus.
  • Experience with ERP/MES or manufacturing systems a plus.


Education:

  • BA/BS in IS, MIS, Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Magento 2 certification is a plus.
