Role Overview:
As a Project Architect at Shapiro & Company Architects, you will:
- Lead Project Phases: Take the helm in managing all phases of architectural projects, from initial concept through to completion.
- Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is realized and expectations are exceeded.
- Design Execution: Apply your advanced expertise to implement complex design requirements and provide innovative solutions.
- Independent Leadership: Demonstrate a high level of autonomy in managing projects with minimal supervision, while effectively leading and collaborating with team members.
- Strategic Planning: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of project planning, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Integrated Collaboration: Work with various disciplines to produce comprehensive and integrated project documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Architectural Expertise: Demonstrated experience in leading architectural projects with a deep understanding of complex design principles, spatial relationships, and building systems.
- Exceptional Time Management & Communication: Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects efficiently while communicating effectively with clients and team members.
- Passion for Excellence: A genuine passion for architectural design, with a drive for continuous learning and professional growth.
- Regulatory Proficiency: Expertise in Building Codes, Zoning regulations, ADA, and Fair Housing standards.
Your Background:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field is required, with an accredited degree preferred.
- Licensure: Licensed Architect required, or actively pursuing licensure with significant progress.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in Single-Family, Multi-Family, Hospitality, Senior Living, Student Housing, Regional Builder Product Design, or Mixed-Use design, with a proven track record in handling complex projects required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Specialization: Experience with wood-framed structures is highly desirable.
Work Arrangement:
While this position is typically full-time and in-office, we offer a hybrid work option for highly experienced and qualified candidates.
