Job Summary

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting users within Forge Consulting’s core infrastructure environment and maintaining the IT Service Desk. In this role, your primary duty will be ensuring the continued operations of company employees.


Core Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and remediate hardware and software issues.
  • Work within the company’s ticketing platform to maintain a high level of responsiveness.
  • Provision new users in the company’s core infrastructure platforms.
  • Maintain permissions and provisioning within the company’s core infrastructure platforms.
  • Provision PC’s and other end-user devices to the company’s standards.
  • Maintain and track the company’s technology assets.
  • Perform other duties on an as-needed basis.


Other Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing vendor relationships.
  • Ensure Helpdesk tasks are handled in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Act as a backup administrator for Line-of-Business applications.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Understanding of network, hardware, and software functionalities.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


Education and Experience

  • At least one year of experience in IT Infrastructure or IT Support required.
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of study preferred.
  • At least one IT certification preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365’s product suite strongly preferred.


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
  • May be required to work on-call or after hours in cases of outages and incident response.


Travel Requirements

  • May be required to travel up to 20% of the time.
