Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Planner/Scheduler to join our team. The Senior Project Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for the development, management, and coordination of detailed project schedules across multiple manufacturing projects. This role requires a strong understanding of production processes, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Scheduling
• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with company goals, resource availability, and production deadlines.
• Identify key milestones, critical paths, and resource allocation strategies for optimal project flow.
Progress Monitoring and Adjustments:
• Monitor and report on project progress, highlighting risks, delays, and any potential issues that could affect deadlines or production goals.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders, making real-time adjustments to schedules as necessary to maintain on-time delivery.
Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, production supervisors, procurement teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date scheduling data.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure that all parties are aligned on project goals, timelines, and resource needs.
Risk and Contingency Planning:
• Identify potential risks or bottlenecks in project schedules and develop contingency plans to mitigate delays or disruptions to the manufacturing process.
• Resource and Capacity Management:
• Ensure the efficient allocation of labor, materials, and equipment in coordination with production requirements, taking into account inventory levels, capacity constraints, and lead times.
Software and Tools:
• Utilize advanced scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, SAP, etc.) to develop and manage project timelines.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to communicate schedule performance to management and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
• Proactively seek out ways to improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance overall efficiency and productivity within the manufacturing environment.
• Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Operations, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) are a plus.
•Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or coordination within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience with Netsuite MRP a major plus.
•Demonstrated expertise in managing complex, multi-faceted projects from initiation to completion.
•Proficiency in scheduling and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, SAP).
•Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and resource allocation.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
•Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and with all levels of management.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.

The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include an annual bonus, participation in our stock option program, and generous benefits.
