Technical Writer Responsibilities:


  • Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
  • Create clear and concise user manuals, installation guides, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate with IT engineers and technicians to gather information and ensure accuracy of documentation.
  • Utilize diagramming tools and screen capture software to enhance documentation clarity.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IT infrastructure technologies and industry best practices.
  • Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect system changes and improvements.


Training Manager Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT infrastructure training program for employees at all levels.
  • Identify training needs through needs assessments and performance evaluations.
  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and webinars.
  • Create and maintain training materials, including presentations, handouts, and online resources.
  • Develop and track employee training progress and certifications.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to employees.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in technical writing, computer science, or related field.
  • Strong technical writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and understandable language.
  • Proficiency in using authoring tools and software.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure components and technologies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs (for Training Manager role).
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills (for Training Manager role).
  • This position requires a blend of technical expertise and communication skills to effectively document and train employees on IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT systems and the ability to create clear and concise training materials.
