We are seeking a seasoned Production Manager to join our team as a v-contractor for an 18-month contract with Azure Quantum. In this role, you will manage the workflows, quality control, and delivery of various assets, primarily focused on scientific education rather than traditional marketing or PR. This is not your typical design agency environment; they operate with a flatter team structure without the hierarchy of creative directors, so you’ll need to be comfortable driving execution and collaborating at all levels within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning: Develop and organize production schedules, ensuring resources align with project demands.
  • Project & Resource Management: Assess project needs, manage resources effectively, and maintain milestone and delivery timelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers to guide them toward execution excellence. Collaborate with Quantum Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate complex technical information into clear, understandable content.
  • Financial Management: Open Purchase Orders (POs) and manage the production budget, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality for all deliverables, ensuring they meet the needs of scientific education.
  • Live Production: Experience in live production is a plus, contributing to the creation and delivery of live events or productions.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience working with creative professionals, including graphic designers, 3D artists, motion artists, UX/UI designers, and video editors/producers.
  • Executive Support: Proven experience in working with or supporting C-level executives.
  • Tool Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft tools and project management. Familiarity with creative tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and 3D pipeline tools is essential.
  • Adaptability: High aptitude for delivering quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Scientific/Journalism Experience: Experience in scientific education, journalism, or digital news is highly desirable.
