We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Investment Operations Analyst to join our investment management team. The ideal candidate will support the operations and administration of investment portfolios, including stocks, bonds, hedge funds, private equity, and other assets. This role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of operational processes and provides essential support to the investment team throughout the full investment lifecycle.


This is a long term contract opportunity, on-site five days/week in Baltimore, MD.


Key Responsibilities:


Portfolio Administration:

  • Administer and reconcile investment portfolios.
  • Ensure timely and accurate trade execution and settlements.
  • Manage the internal and external transfer of investments and execute subscription and redemption activities.


Valuation Management:

  • Independently review, research, assess, and update valuations for assets.
  • Validate alternative asset statements provided by fund companies to ensure accuracy.


Operational Support:

  • Resolve trade discrepancies and settlement issues.
  • Engage with custodians, funds, portfolio management, client service, and operational teams to resolve valuation issues, breaks, delays, and other related matters.
  • Manage and resolve ticket requests within the internal task management system.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field required

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros and v-lookup functionality.

- Demonstrated analytical, evaluative, and critical thinking skills.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities.

- Effective in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- Strong decision-making, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
